Breen wins at Al Shira’aa International Horse Show

Shane Breen’s winning streak continues off the back of a very successful Christmas taking the Liverpool International Horse Show Grand Prix on New years Eve.

Shane riding the 13-year-old stallion Can Ya Makan for Team Z7 won the big class (1.45m Grand Prix Qualifier) on the opening day at the CSI4* Al Shira’aa International Horse Show.

12 of the 47 starters made it through to them jump-off. Breen proved too quick for them all finishing 0.72 seconds ahead of Philipp Weishaupt on Belo Horizonte in second place.

Breen commented after his win: “I am delighted for Team Z7 and everyone concerned. It is nice to come back here and win the same class again. It is an honour to be here, it is a fantastic venue. I had great success here last year and have now kicked off things in a good way, hopefully it continues.”
