Agri Sales Assistant

Our RED MILLS Shop in Goresbridge is now recruiting an AGRI RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT for our expanding sales team. This role is suitable for someone who has worked in the Agri, Equine or Pet retail industry and is absolutely passionate about customer service. The role will encompass other aspects of our business from agri crop treatment to veterinary supplies.

Hours of work:

• Tuesday to Friday – 8am to 5.30pm
• Saturday – 8am to 1pm

Duties

• Provide advice & support to customers on a wide variety of products.
• Restock display areas on a regular basis to ensure product availability at all times.
• Maintain the highest standards of store presentation and cleanliness including shop floor, stores and display areas.
• Handling of cheques, cash and balancing the till at the end of each day.
• Ensure the smooth day to day running of the retail outlet.
• Adhere to policies and procedures for the security of cash and merchandise.
• Participate in regular stocktakes and stock counts which will involve physically checking that units are in stock.
• Product coding, pricing and updating of prices on goods for sale.

The candidate will have:

• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• A keen customer focus.
• A strong interest in the agricultural industry including animal and health nutrition.
• Ability to prioritise work and work on your own initiative.
• 1-2 year previous counter sales experience an advantage.
• Previous retail experience a distinct advantage.
• SAP experience desirable but not essential.
• Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Educated to Leaving Certificate.
• Level 6 or 7 certification in Agri related discipline a distinct advantage
